Happy Times at the Harvest Lunch

On Saturday, November 23, Health Advocates for Older People hosted our annual Harvest Lunch at the St. Vincent Ferrer School Cafeteria. One hundred of our members enjoyed a delicious Thanksgiving meal – turkey and all the trimmings, served tableside by more than 25 volunteers from the Junior League of New York City, St. Vincent Ferrer High School, Regis High School and the Brearley School. The event included visits from Assembly Member Alex Bores and Wendy Brennan, representing Senator Liz Krueger’s Office, as well as decorations courtesy of Brearley’s Art Society Club. This year, guests and volunteers played Thanksgiving and New York-themed trivia led by volunteer Kate Guino. If you want to know how many large balloons there were in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2023, ask the “Smarties.” Their team won the day with the correct answer (25)!
